We sell the beer. How? Through two channels: our out-of-home (on-trade) and off-trade (retail) channel. Forget all your preconceived ideas about sales jobs because our sales accounts, sales representatives, key account managers, channel marketers, buyers, category managers, customer service teams and technical teams are so much more than their job description. From relationship building to real estate advice: we guarantee a unique and varied job. The result of your hard work? You’ll see it at your favourite football club, festival or supermarket.
At Alken-Maes, you get given freedom, a lot of freedom. That’s wonderfully positive, but you have to be able to handle it. Proactive people could not find a better company to start.
Our work plays a crucial role at barbecues, after-work events or festivals, and it’s hard to describe that feeling. For me and many other colleagues, this visible and palpable result is why I work here.

Instead of sighing, you use your full power of persuasion. You effortlessly demonstrate the added value to the customer and eventually reach the ideal deal.
Here, our (channel) marketers know it too: we take your input to heart, thus leaving your mark on an even better result.
Selling our beer and cider is, of course, the goal. However, that sounds very unromantic when considering how many essential tasks precede it. Besides maintaining relationships with our pub owners, shops and other buyers, we also find the right tenants for our own premises and help budding hospitality entrepreneurs realise their dreams..
Our customer relationships are actually partnerships. You can only have professional success with a warm, personal bond. Good times brewing does not start and stop at the Alken-Maes premises. This idea travels with our sales representatives, quality controllers and all other colleagues. That is precisely why we have so many customers we have enjoyed serving for years. Cheers to you!

Want to know more about working at Alken-Maes? We will gladly serve you the answers to our most frequently asked questions.
Letting your talents develop and reach high fermentation sounds like Alken-Maes. Certainly, don’t expect rigorous training programmes (not really our thing); instead, you can expect learning landscapes. A fancy term to say that your entrepreneurship and proactivity determine how fast you grow. Most learning occurs on the job, while additional learning is done through courses matching your profile and interests. Do you feel like learning French to communicate better with customers and colleagues? You’ll have it dans ta poche in no time! We are happy to provide weekly French lessons for you. And for us.
We can be Cristal clear about that. If it is your ambition to go from zero to hero like a rocket, we don’t have that on tap, I’m afraid. We are a local company with around 600 colleagues. Humble in size and modest in its management structure. We don’t invent C-level profiles just for the sake of it, and career development proceeds organically here. Sometimes faster than expected, but sometimes it takes a little longer to reach your next opportunity. Switching industries during your career? That’s definitely something we can offer you. From HR to marketing, sales to finance or technician to team leader: all our vacancies are also open internally.
With flipchart, lecturer and a 15-minute break every two hours, you mean? Nope, that’s not like us. Here, you dive straight into the foaming Alken-Maes pool. Your colleagues function as navigators or lifeguards when needed, though we’re sure you’re a better swimmer than you might think.
