Are you ready to embark on an adventurous journey and explore the world of HEINEKEN? We are excited to announce the launch of our Global Graduate Program – designed to fast track your career and develop you into a future leader at one of the world’s most renowned brands.

About the Program:
Our Global Graduate Program is a three-year path which consists of three rotations, each lasting six months, and will take place within your chosen area: Supply Chain, Digital & Technology, Commerce, Finance, Procurement, or People. After the rotations, you’ll have the opportunity to spend the next 18-months working in a role within your home operating company at Alken-Maes.

  • Rotation 1: Set off in the HEINEKEN operating company of application in Belgium (Mechelen). Here, you’ll gain a solid foundation in your specific function and an understanding of our operations, strategy, and culture.
  • Rotation 2: Continue in Belgium (Mechelen) of application with a cross-functional assignment, widening your perspective and understanding of different business areas and how they interconnect.
  • Rotation 3: Broaden your horizons with an international assignment, enhancing your global mindset and cultural adaptability.
  • Landing Role: Now you’ve got all the tools, it’s time for you to apply what you’ve learnt in a management position within your country of application in Belgium. Every day will bring a chance to continue with your growth and development.

About Commerce

Our commercial department exist of 3 departments: OOH, Off trade and Marketing. The Commercial Graduate Program at Heineken is designed to develop the next generation of business leaders by providing a broad exposure to various commercial functions. Graduates will have the opportunity to rotate through departments within Trade Marketing, sales or Marketing. The program is structured to offer hands-on experience across key commercial areas, allowing trainees to contribute to high-impact projects and gain a comprehensive understanding of Heineken’s market strategies.

Criteria & Conditions

  • Education: A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
  • Work Experience: No specific previous work experience is required! But we are looking specifically for new graduates. That’s a maximum of 1-year post-graduation.
  • Languages: English language is essential, in addition you speak also Dutch or French.
  • Work Rights: The right to work in the country of your program is essential.
  • Travel Flexibility: Global exploration can’t happen from home! We require all Explorers to be fully globally mobile.

How to Apply & the Selection Process

  1. Application Submission:
    1. Upload your CV and cover letter through our application portal. Application period is from September 1 March until 7 April.
  2. Online Assessments:
    1. Take the online assessments. They will be based on situational behaviour scenarios, so no need to prepare anything in advance. A cognitive test is also part of the online assessment in the first 2 weeks of April.
  3. Interviews:
    1. Upon completing the online assessments, we will be in touch to let you know if your application has been successful. You will then be invited for two interviews. We’re aiming to hold these in the third week of April.
  4. Assessment Centre:
    1. Then it’s time for the in-person assessment centre, where you will participate in various activities and evaluations. We’re planning this for in the first week of May.

Joining HEINEKEN

Upon successfully completing all stages, you will receive an offer to join HEINEKEN’s Global Graduate Program in May and start in September 2025. Cheers and best of luck!

    Hadden we al gezegd dat het hier vooruit gaat? Geen lang gedraal of onnodig lange validatieprocessen bij Alken-Maes. Wij nemen hier de kortste weg tussen initiatief en duurzaam resultaat, jij bewaakt ondertussen zelfstandig je prioriteitenlijstje.
  • “Sorry, that’s not in my jobdescription”
    Woeps, dat horen we hier niet zo graag! Let op, omschrijvingen hebben we wel hoor, maar onze rollen zijn breed en we houden niet van te strakke lijntjes. Eerlijk is eerlijk, we zijn er ook (nog) niet zo goed in, die structuur. Daarom vinden initiatiefnemers, plantrekkers die graag dingen in beweging zetten en zelf orde kunnen scheppen hier dan ook het vlotst hun weg.
  • Soloslim is geen positie in het team
    We reiken hier niet enkel trofeeën uit voor jouw individuele verdiensten, winnen doen we meestal samen. Tenzij je graag tsjingt met jezelf is dat ook veel leuker. Wil dat zeggen dat jouw prestaties onopgemerkt blijven? Natuurlijk niet. Bij de ene functie is een individueel succesmomentje al relevanter dan bij de andere, maar juichen doen we sowieso. We bekijken het graag efficiënt: loopt de kortste weg naar een sterke oplossing énkel langs jouw halte? Top. Wil je vanop jouw halte telkens het warm water uitvinden? Dan zijn we geen match.
